untouched by time

My brother in law's family runs a cattle ranch. They have done so for decades, it is a way of life for them. A few weeks ago, we went and stayed there for a few days. My boys had a blast! They loved chasing the barn cats all over the place, playing in the treehouse, and roaming the wide open spaces. I loved how all the buildings have been untouched for years, the paint weathered just right. You can't get that kind of patina overnight. I'm so sad because I accidentally reformatted one of my memory cards before downloading the images onto my computer. Hopefully, I can find a way to recover them. In the meantime, I'm pretty happy with what was found on the other memory card:)

just down the road

So my friend said that they found the perfect spot for pictures "just down the road". Well, when we were driving there I kept thinking 'this is not JUST down the road'. But when we got there, it was totally worth it! What an amazing place! Loved it!

eager for eagar pics?

Couldn't have asked for better weather up in Eagar. It was beautiful with all the leaves changing colors! The locals found me some amazing spots to shoot. Thanks guys.

more of flagstaff

Did I mention that I just love shooting in Flagstaff. Your options are endless. I love shooting downtown! Everytime I shoot, I find a new wall or alley that is amazing! And you just can't beat the great outdoors! It is probably a good thing that it takes so long for pictures to upload on my computer, otherwise this post would be a lot longer.

sneak peeks of flagstaff

These are just a few of the families I played with while in Flagstaff. I have more to post, but the rest will have to wait till tomorrow...
BTW, I will be in Springerville/Eager area on the 16th and 17th of this month. I know that isn't much notice but if you're interested let me know. I only have two spots left!

finally

I can't tell you how long I have been trying to do a photo shoot with my boys. For some reason taking pictures of your own kids is always gets put on the back burner. Finally, the other day, I had a little window, and I mean little, of opportunity and I grabbed it. I have been wanting to shoot at the location since I moved back to Queen Creek. We had ten minutes to shoot and that was all. My boys were just getting warmed up when I told them to load up 'cause we needed to be somewhere else right then. A little rushed? Yes, but totally worth it!

i'm a comin'

I can't believe how fast the summer flew by! School is back in session, and we are trying to maintain some sort of consistent schedule (emphasis on the trying). I am definitely ready to escape the heat for a weekend in the mountains. A weekend where I won't be sweating like crazy just to capture a few great pictures. Yes, it's true... I am coming up to Flagstaff on September 24th through the 26th to do a few sessions in the pines. Email me if you are interested.
Here is a shoot we did during the summer. Talk about sweltering heat! But isn't that a fabulous piano?! Totally worth the summer heat. My sister Chea, who is an absolutely AMAZING photographer, has this set up in her backyard.
